Handemade
Everything made with my hands.
The Artisan
As I approach each piece of wood I ask it what it wants to become. What is the shape and character it desires. Each species is unique. Possessing different needs and characteristics that require careful consideration. The grains and depth of tones or colors inform connections. I hope that each piece invokes a need to touch and handle the objects.
The Technical
At this time, I do not possess a Lathe, and have a limited number of power tools available to me. This means that each piece takes several hours to create and finish. Each piece is measured out, drilled, shaped, sanded, and finished all by hand. The few "power" tools that I currently possess are used primarily for their precision. In the future, as I develop my skills and my workshop I will add more tools to assist me.
